What they do...

Our School council is made up of children from all year groups but it is lead by Year 6 children. They volunteer to give up their own time in order to make our school a better place. The council will work with children from all classes to suggest ideas, implement change and discuss potential changes to the school.

The School Council will:

  • Take part in and discuss key school decisions
  • Be a part of the school office team
  • Play an active part in our school becoming more environmentally friendly
  • Take part in fund raising
  • Take part in recruitment processes, as and when this is needed
  • Take part in whole school events such as parents’ evening and open evenings
  • Many other activities to be decided by the School Council

Who is in the School Council

The School Council

There are 4 Chairs who were voted for by the rest of the School Council. These roles involve the children recording the minutes of each meeting and ensuring any actions have been completed by the children. The Council meet every 2nd Wednesday.   Actions are discussed and decided .

Some of the main plans for the school council:

1. Becoming more active as a school

2. Making our school even more fun with more school events

3. Developing our Leadership Skills across the school

4. Raising money and awareness for local charities
